"There is no good wine without good grapes"
The vines of Domaine Roche have been cultivated by generations of passionate farmers. In 2008, Romain created the Domaine in the commune of Cairanne, in the North Vaucluse, in the heart of the Rhône Valley.

Respect for the land and the vine
Organic farming is based on a fundamental principle: working with nature, not against it. This means:
-
Banning synthetic chemicals: no herbicides, pesticides, or artificial fertilizers. Instead, we favor natural methods to nourish the soil and protect the vines.
-
Preserving biodiversity: by promoting soil life, planting hedges, and attracting beneficial insects, we create a balanced ecosystem, guaranteeing healthy vines and quality grapes.
Soil care
Living soil is the key to a resilient vineyard. We use:
-
Green manures to naturally enrich the soil
-
Compost and organic amendments to restore fertility
-
Tilling or planting grass to limit erosion and stimulate microbial life
A challenge in the fight against vine protection
When faced with diseases and parasites, we focus on prevention and gentle solutions:
-
Copper and sulfur-based treatments (in regulated quantities)
-
Plant decoctions to strengthen the natural defenses of the vine
-
Constant observation: each plot is monitored to ensure timely and precise action.
Hand-harvested and carefully vinified
Hand-harvesting allows us to select the best grapes, while in the cellar, we limit oenological inputs to allow the terroir to express itself.
A demanding certification
Our estate is certified organic (AB), which guarantees strict adherence to organic farming standards. Every year, independent audits validate our practices.
A choice for the future
Choosing organic means committing to healthier wines, for the planet and for future generations. It also means offering wines that faithfully reflect their terroir, with authenticity and transparency.
